After your cat underwent deworming treatment, she became worm free, but your cat already has them. If you still have some treatment left, you may be tempted to give it only to your hand. But it works all the time. Although you may find that the components of deworming treatment in dogs and cats are usually the same. Active ingredients such as praziquantel are currently marketed under different brands. They can be found in both dogs and cats for body treatments.

The fact that the active ingredient is the same does not mean that it is a good idea to disinfect your cat or vice versa. The difference is in the amount of ingredients used. Dosage levels may also vary depending on the size of the pet.

Prophylactic treatment of heartworms in dogs and cats is extensive. While dogs can be treated with injections when infected, cats cannot be treated the same way if they are infected with a heart. There are some cases where effective treatment for dogs can be poisonous to cats. So, there is always a better option to let your veterinarian suggest a dog and cat treating fatigue instead of treating them yourself. Worm treatment is possible, but heartworm treatment is a different ball game. Remember, prevention is better than cure. The treatment is not only very tedious but also quite expensive.

It is also very important to understand that there are various worms that can affect your dog and cat. So never give one treatment for a particular worm to treat another worm. For example; If your kitten has roundworms and your dog has tapeworms, never do any treatment to eradicate roundworms to treat tapeworms. So, before starting treatment for worms, talk to your veterinarian to determine what virus has affected your pet, then provide proper treatment and dose advice.

The best way to deal with dog and cat worms is to take preventive measures to prevent them from being primarily infected with any type of worm. Remember that kittens and puppies are born with worms. They get it from their mothers when they are breastfeeding. For this reason, routine veterinary care of puppies and kittens involves the treatment of worms. After a year, ask your veterinarian to check your pet’s stools for worms. Also, make sure that they do not eat birds, mice or other animals that could carry worms. Also, get rid of fleas as this is the first big step in preventing worms in dogs and cats.
